The data is encrypted in your browser before being sent to Enignum servers. The link to view the message is protected by an encryption key generated in your browser (never send to our servers) and will be completely extinguished once the message is opened.
No. You can send a Enignum to anyone Email, Whatsapp, Facebook or even by SMS.
To view the Enignum, click to the link. You can only view the message once.
Every Enignum destroys once they're opens.

No. Since each Enignum is deleted and completely extinguished from our servers once it has been read it is not possible to recover them.
Yes. When using Enignum all communication to and from the Enignum servers is encrypted with industry-standard 256 bit SSL encryption.
In addition, the contents of each Enignum are encrypted in the participants' browser using the Javascript Crypto Library before being sent to the server using an Encryption Key that is unique to the message. Enignum did not store your Encryption Key.
We take encryption and your privacy very, very seriously.
All Enignum are stored encrypted on our servers without encryption keys.

In a nutshell:
Enignum is a free web based service that allows users to create encrypted messages that they can share over the internet as unique one-time-use HTTPS URLs (hereafter referred to as links) which by default expire after its first access via any web browser.
As Enignum does not provide any means for transmitting the link, the act of sending the link is the full responsibility of Enignum users.
Depending on the communication channel of your choice (e.g., e-mail, fax, SMS, phone, instant messaging, social media), there may be a certain risk that third parties intercept your communication, get knowledge of the communicated link and thus may be able to read your message.
The link is generated in the user's browser and at no time is sent as such to Enignum. The link is thus in the sender's (and later possibly in the recipient's) hands only. Therefore, there is no way to recover a message if a Enignum user losses the link.
Since only the link binds the decryption key to the message's content and since Enignum does not have the link, at no time is any message held in any readable format state at Enignum. This assures that nobody (including Enignum's administrators) can read a message.
When using Enignum's default funtionality, when a message is retrieved, its data is completely removed from Enignum; there is absolutely no way to recover it again.
After a message is deleted from Enignum, there is absolutely no way to recover it again.
The Enignum team will do as much as possible to protect the site against unauthorized access, modification or destruction of the data. But, even if someone or something could manage to gain access to the database, they would be unable to read the messages since their contents are encrypted and can't be decrypted without the links which Enignum never has a hold of.
The creator of the message can introduce personal data into the message. Even though this data is encrypted, the data can be decrypted again and thus constitutes pseudonymous (personal) data. In any case, one cannot deduce the message's creator from Enignum's database, as Enignum does not store IP addresses.
The decryption of the message's data is in the users' hands (sender and recipient). Enignum is not able to decrypt the message and access the data (personal or otherwise) introduced by the creator since Enignum is never in possession of the decryption key which is contained only in the link.
Enignum does not share nor sell any information to others, nor use it in any way not mentioned in this Privacy Policy.
When a person clicks the Enignum's link, Enignum declines any responsibility related to the message's content.
Enignum don't use cookies.
Enignum does not target and is not intended to attract children under the age of 16. Minors must obtain express consent from their parents or legal guardians prior to accessing or using Enignum.

Regardless, we will post any Policy changes on this page, and if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice such as a message on the home page.
